Don’t depend on credit providers to tell you what is in your credit file and don’t assume you have bad credit. It is up to you to make sure your credit file is accurate. Check it at least once a year. Avoid “Credit Repair” companies that charge fees to provide a quick fix. It usually is a waste of good money. Beware of companies who claim they can "fix" or "remove" accurate issues for a fee: it is legally impossible to alter an accurate credit history.
